Getting Started with Quickpass

This article will walk you through the ‘Welcome To CyberQP’ email.
This is the first step to getting setup on Quickpass and takes only a couple of minutes.


Pre-Requisites

In order to utilize SMS for User Identity Verification we require a valid mobile phone number.

Verification Methods

The available methods for verifying your identity are via:

  • SMS (default)

  • Quickpass Self-Serve app (optional)

  • Microsoft Authenticator (optional)

Authentication Methods

At initial launch of the User Identity Verification SMS will be the default method used to verify your Identity. The SMS doesn’t require an app to be installed or configured.
The ‘Quickpass’ Self-Serve app & Microsoft Authenticator are alternative authentication methods but require additional steps to install and use.

We do not share your contact details with third parties, nor do we sell your personal data to any external organisations, including data brokers.

Welcome Email

All new users will receive an email from no-reply@getquickpass.com with the subject Ziptech Services - Welcome To CyberQP.
This email is automatically sent to new users, see below for what the email looks like:

If the mobile phone number is not the correct number or is missing, you will need to click the link in the email to Register Phone Number.
Your mobile phone number will be used to send temporary passphrase codes.

Note:

If your mobile number was already registered in our Support Desk system, you will see the last four digits of this phone number in the welcome email.
Otherwise, if we don’t currently have a number for you in our Support Desk system, no phone number will show in the welcome email.


Step 1 - Verify your mobile number

Clicking the link to Register Phone Number from the welcome email will redirect you to a web page where you can select the country code on the left hand side to apply the correct dialling prefix, then enter your mobile phone number (including area code if relevant). Then you can click SEND to confirm the number.

Pressing SEND will send you a one time 2FA code as an SMS message.
You will ned to type the code from the SMS message and click VERIFY when done.

Note:

When verifying mobile phone numbers or logging into the Quickpass web app we use the one time 2FA numbered codes.
When logging into the self-serve mobile app we strongly recommend setting up biometric login for increased security and ease of use.

The code will be verified and you will get a confirmation screen that your mobile phone number has been successfully verified.
