You can also verify you are talking to a Ziptech Support Desk member.

Why does Ziptech have a User Identity Verification process?

With IT Security and Social Engineering attacks becoming ever more prevalent, we need to ensure the security of our clients and also ourselves.
By following this process, we can ensure that we are dealing with genuine support requests from verified users, not someone impersonating them.

Furthermore, you can ensure you’re being contacted by a Ziptech Support Desk member should you so desire.

Do I have to abide by the User Identity Verification process?

Yes, all Ziptech support clients will be subject to the User Identity Verification Process. This protects your company as well as you being certain that you are conversing with a Ziptech technician.

What does Ziptech use for the User Identity Verification Process?

We are very proud to be partnered with a global leader in Privileged Access Management (PAM) & End-User Access Management (EUAM) solutions, CyberQP.

When will I be asked to verify my Identity?

You will be asked to verify your Identity on tickets that are requesting a change, because these types of requests have the greatest security risk.
Example of tickets that qualify as change request tickets:

  • Password reset / change

  • Add user to group

  • Add user to shared mailbox

  • Install application that is not on any pre-approved list

  • Add email address to global allow / block list
