Connecting to an Assigned Machine Using ZipConnect From a Web Browser: Go to https://companyname.screenconnect.com (Replace companyname with your companies name) Select Login at located in the top right hand corner of the page. Contrary to popular belief a workstation (PC or Mac) is not ready to be used “out-of-the-box”. There is a significant amount of work required to prepare your PC. If not done correctly this can waste a huge amount of your time and cause considerable stress down the line. What is involved in the configuration of a new Windows PC? The following work is carried out in the Ziptech workshop before your PC is sent out: Initial OS configuration – time zone, language, keyboard layout, computer name, local administrator account creation Update OS with the latest patches Uninstall any unwanted applications installed by hardware manufacturer Install Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Reader, latest version of Java, .net
Adjusting Audio Settings

This article will talk about the steps to take when you need to adjust your Speaker and Microphone settings for Teams. If you don't use a headset or webcam then this article will most likely not apply to you. Open Teams and click on 3 dots next to your profile icon (located at top right) to find the settings menu option. Click on 'Devices' on the left hand side of Teams settings, this is where we'll change our audio/video settings. In the example below, you can see that I have chosen my Corsair headset as my audio device which applies to 'Speaker' and Microphone but you can change these indivdually. This article will guide you through reinstalling Microsoft Teams on Windows 10. Click on the Windows 10 Start button, type 'Add or remove programs' and click on the first result: Under Apps & Features, click on the search box, type in 'Microsoft Teams', click on the result and click 'Uninstall': You should get a prompt saying "This app and its related info will be uninstalled.", click uninstall: It'll take a few minutes to uninstall Teams. Once it's uninstalled it shouldn't appear in Apps & Features any longer. Running an internet Speed Test

In this article we will talk about the steps you can take to run a speedtest on your internet line. This can be great for finding out why your websites or video calls are performing poorly and a great bit of information for you to tell your Ziptech Engineer. Go to https://speedtest.net Click the "Go" button in the middle of the screen. Wait for the speedtest to complete. Make a note of the; Ping, Download speed and Upload speed. Adding a Member to a team

If you find you can't add someone to a team, you will need to get the owner of the Team to add that person for you. Open Teams, right click on the team you want to add someone to and click "Manage Team" Then click "Add Member" in the top right. Then in the box that appears type the email address of the person you would like to add then click "Add".
Disabling Teams Voicemail

This article will talk about the steps needed to disable Voicemail messages in Teams. This is useful if your using Teams in conjuction with a PBX to make and recieve calls. You cannot have both Teams voicemail and PBX voicemail active as issues arise from this. Open Teams and find the settings menu. Once in the settings menu go to the 'Calls' tab. What is DKIM?

DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) is used to verify that the content of an email is trustworthy, meaning the content has not been changed from the time the email was transmitted by the sending mail server. This additional layer of trust is established using a standard public/private encryption key signing process. The domain owners must add a DNS entry for their email server and include their public DKIM key. The DKIM key can be used by receivers to verify that the DKIM message signature is correct. For the sender, the email server signs the emails with the corresponding private key. This diagram shows how the DKIM process works, from the DKIM Key’s all the way to the Intended recipient’s inbox. Note: DKIM will not stop all malicious actors from attempting to use your domain to send email. The Recipients mail server must be setup to perform sender authentication

Using Virtual Office

Virtual office is a web based application that can be used on any computer with a modern browser, we would recommend using Google Chrome for it.
